I could fall asleep in it.It's beautiful. The slipcover fits almost perfectly. One arm is slightly longer than the other (not real noticable). It did take two people to put the slipcover on but that was okay by me. It is very comfortable and my daughter and her friends always choose to lounge in it. It is a lovely addition to my sunroom. I'm thinking sofa next?

Book + wine+ Baldwin = HeavenWe have the Baldwin chaise in a little nook in our bedroom. It is soft, cozy and looks classic. It doesn't get the heavy traffic that the furniture in the rest of my house does with 3 kids and two dogs, but after two years it still looks fantastic. I don't understand how the 5'5 lady's feet hang off the edge...I am 5'9 and can stretch my legs out on it with an inch to spare. My 5'6 kid even likes to sleep on it. It's definitely my favorite all time spot to curl up with a book and a glass of wine! Wanting to order a slipcover to go with new color scheme, but the reviews on those aren't great. I haven't needed to remove mine yet, but if do I'll be very careful washing!

this is one piece of furniture I keep moving with meI have had my Baldwin Chaise for 6 years and I love it!!! I am a petite 5'6" woman and I love to curl up and read a good book or watch TV on it. It is one of a very few pieces of furniture that as I move and/or redecorate I take with me and simply change the slipcover for a brand new look. My teenage daughter had it last in her room for 2 years with a white twill cover and it still looks fabulous. I am now moving again and ordering another cover only because I finally get my chaise back in my little nook and I'm changing up the color. Love, love, love this comfy seat just as much, if not more than, all of my other "custom-made designer placed" items in my home.

Fabulous!!My family and I love, love our Baldwin chaise and sectional! We've had this set for many years now. We've never washed our slip covers; however, we haven't needed to as the fabric held up so well. I'm now back to buy some new slip covers as our cats have ripped up some chair arms over the years. Buying just the slipcovers for this fabulous, EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE and very well made set is so easy and inexpensive! This is the best furniture investment ever! Thank you, BD. :-)

enjoyable!I have this chaise and three slipcovers. I find it comfy for reading. The trick with the covers is to position one arm, then fit the top of the back, then the other arm, then pull it down and tuck, etc. To remove...reverse the process ;) I wash and change them often, and am very pleased with this piece.

Soooo comfortable!I am ecstatic that I purchased this item. I must admit I ordered this with some trepidation as I have never purchased furniture online without seeing or experiencing the piece. After reading the description, I was compelled to order this wonderful chaise & am so glad I did. It is exactly as described & comfortable beyond words! Not only am I thrilled with this chaise, but I love the slipcover. It fits amazingly well & I was able to achieve the look I wanted. I ordered the toffee check & it is absolute perfection!! I would someday like to order other Baldwin pieces.

Good quality, satisfied with purchase.I had never bought furniture online before, so hesitated quite a bit before ordering. The Baldwin Chaise is true to the picture and dimensions as quoted online (there was a misprint in the catalog which caused some confusion, but a quick call to Ballard sorted it out). My only criticism- it was VERY difficult to get the slip cover on the frame. In fact, my daughter and I thought they had sent the wrong one at first. We finally managed though and it looks great. Just be forewarned that there will be a lot of pulling, tugging, and wrestling to get it on.

very comfortable!This chaise is very well made and comfortable for both me and my tall husband. Not only are the cushions extremely well-filled, but the frame is high enough to provide neck support. It is large and does need to be in an ample sized room with proportionate furniture. I only wish that the slipcovers were more moderately priced. I bought a natural linen one, because the print that I wanted was another $1,000.

Slipcover shrinks even when you hand wash & dryI bought this chaise lounge and ordered 2 slipcovers. I washed both slip covers in hand wash cycle and hung them to dry. The slip covers shrunk so much they take two people to put back on and I am fearful that I will rip the fabric. The whole reason for buying a slip covered piece of furniture is so you can wash them. The directions say tumble dry low. I cannot imagine how much they would have shrunk if I had dried them. We love the lounge chair, but I am so stressed if I need to wash the cover. I would give the lounge chair and would give it 5 stars if the slip covered was pre-shrunk and fit the lounge chair correctly.

Seat cushion doesn't last six monthsI don't use the chaise very often so the problem wasn't from wear. The seat cushion developed a impression where my seat met the seat cushion. I fluffed and pushed and turned the cushion each time I sit in it. No amount of fluffing helps. The stuffing just separated and I can't fix it. This furniture isn't cheap and it annoys me that the two pieces of furniture I have purchased have cushion problems.

The slipcover is hard to put back onI agree with the other lady from California with the 4 boys. I have 2 boys and a large dog. I also bought the slipcovers with the intention of washing them. The same things happened to me. First the zipper ripped and then the material shrunk and ripped when I tried to put them back on. I am now ordering another slipcover and it looks like they no longer have the same fabric. I had two chairs in this fabric and was hoping to match the fabric again.

Material for Chaise is poorly madeThe size of the Baldwin Chaise is ok, it would fit me perfectly if it was 6 inches longer. I'm a 5'5" woman and my feet hang off the edge. The cover for the chaise is poorly made. The first cover I put on the seat cushion I ripped because the zipper is placed at the smallest part of the seat cushion. So when I stretched the material to fit over the largest part of the seat cushion it ripped. Luckily customer service was great and they replaced the seat cushion cover at no charge. Then when I washed my slipcovers, since I have 4 boys I intentionaly bought something that I could remove and wash, the slip cover shrunk and when trying to stretch the material again to fit over the chaise the material ripped yet again and now I'm having to purchase another slip cover.

WAY TOO Tight!I purchased 3 slipcovers for my awesome Baldwin Chaise at my local Ballard's store. I then ordered my longly awaited chaise. I love the chaise as much as I thought I would UNTIL I attempted to dress it with the slipcovers. It took 3 people and it ALMOST ripped in half! The slipcover is way to hard to get on. AND OFF!!! I had the cover on for over a month and attempted just now to remove it. NOT happening! Believe it or not I had to CUT it off!!! I do not know why they are so darn tight when putting on and taking off. There was no other way around it. I am not happy that I had to cut off the slipcover just to remve it! Will not be ordering anymore slipcovered items from here.
