Dining RoomThis was exactly what we were looking for! It is a perfect match with our Crate & Barrel Lakin table. We had an electrician install it for us, but he didn't seem to have any difficulties other than having one of us as a second person to help hold it into place. Optional extenders were included in a bag, but our ceilings are standard size, so we did not use them. The height is perfect as you can see.

Beautiful chandelier!We purchased this chandelier to go over our new dining room table and absolutely love it! It is very durable and strong and goes beautifully with either light or dark wood pieces. You will need help hanging it, as it's pretty heavy. We did have ours professionally installed. This fixture would compliment any classic, farmhouse or industrial decors. This is a high quality piece that is very well worth the investment. Additionally, we added LED dimmable bulbs and it provides great lighting, but can also be turned down for more intimate gatherings. I would highly recommend this chandelier!

Awesome chandelierWe replaced a chandelier with Edison bulbs that did not give enough light. We put 60 watt LED bulbs in this chandelier and have more than enough light. This is on a dimmer switch if we want to lower the amount of light.. We have had many compliments on this beautiful chandelier in our dining room.

Perfect - but not easy to mountThis is a simply beautiful chandelier. The cord to the lights runs through one of the rods so it is not noticeable - unlike others I looked at. It is substantial and because of that, tricky to hang in the ceiling. It took three of us but worth every calorie of effort! I couldn't be happier and it is truly a beautiful addition to our dining room in our mountain home. Thank you for quality, craftsmanship, and an eye for rustic esthetics!

Beautiful Product/Great Customer ServiceI bought this chandelier in July 2015 and it is just a beautiful statement! Looks perfect in our rustic themed house. The shades that go over the light bulbs are very fragile, we had one break as we were rinsing it from dust and accidentally hit it lightly on the sink divider. I called customer service and they were able to provide me step by step instructions on how to obtain a replacement shade, which was delivered the same week! Very happy with my experience with this company.

Perfect touch to our dining roomWe have 8' ceilings and I was a little worried about the wiring being too long. But our handy man was able to install the chandelier and cut the wiring and rod and it fits great! I did not use the shades because I wanted a more industrial look. So I bought Edison lights and left them exposed. I feel that the shades look outdated so leaving the bulbs exposed kicks it up 10 notches! Love this chandelier it's perfect!

Great LightThis light looks perfect above our new 96" dining table. Great lighting range with a dimmer. Recommend installation with at least 2 people, kinda heavy.
The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that not all of the 8 light platforms were 100% level. This was not enough of an issue to return the product, and it is barely noticeable, but this does prevent me from giving a perfect 5 star rating. I am still totally satisfied with my choice in selecting this light.

Vintage chic chandelierThis chandelier is gorgeous! It is good size and quality and comes with different length options which I was grateful for. It really helped to tie our dining room together. I plan on getting a dimmer switch for this so it will look even more like candles on the top. I love this piece, I see why it is a Best of Ballard item, I would highly recommend!

Beautiful statement light fixtureI bought this light fixture over a year ago when it was on sale and have been anxiously awaiting the install. It came packed really well, which was great for so many breakable glass pieces. Now that the fixture is in place in our dining room, I can safely say that I love this light! It's really a beautiful piece - the wood tones have a lot of character, the hanging mechanism is very cool and unique, and the lights themselves look like large pillar candles. It is HUGE, which is worth mentioning because I was worried it was going to overpower the room. But it really blends nicely and doesn't feel too big. The installation was definitely a two-person job, but it went pretty fast and didn't take a lot of assembly. The four rods just hook to the round piece and then you can choose how many rods you want hanging from the ceiling. I'm just really thrilled with the piece and am looking forward to enjoying it for years to come.

I updated the look and love itI loved the shape and wood features of this chandelier but wasn't crazy about how it looked when the shades were on. The look seemed a bit dated and I also felt it was 'candle overkill' in my dining room given I already have multiple candles on my table. So I decided to make some adjustments. I removed the 8 shades and then very carefully painted over the outside of each base where you screw in each bulb in order to cover up the blue factory stamps. I bought 60W incandescent, vintage/edison-style light bulbs and left them exposed. I stored the shades just in case I ever want to use them again. I love the new/updated look.
