Solid Table!I bought two of the Allen tables to use as bedside tables in our guest room. They work perfectly as they are adjustable in height. The table is solid and very heavy!!! They work with so many different types of decor and styles. Love them!

Just Love It!I bought this table because I needed something for my husband to use when sitting in his rocker. I chose this particular table mainly because of the iron base, but it being adjustable to lower/higher heights, the perfect size tabletop and the price were all added bonuses. The fact that my husband loves it is the topper!

Excellent buy!This table is attractive, sturdy and was a breeze to assemble - and I got it on sale - what could be better! I do wish it was available in a 30” diameter top - I’d get that one too! I’m using it chair side, but also may use as a bistro table - love it!

neat tableFunny story: a friend was visting & looking through your catalog. Stopped to show me the Allen table, saying it looked nice and would like to see it before buying. I told her to look to her right. BAM, she was knocked for a loop! Now we both love it and I let her keep the catalog.

Height Adjustment Awesome!I love this table. I've been looking for nightstands for my bedroom and most of them were too short next to my very high pillow top bed. This table is perfect because you can adjust the height - works perfect for a night stand. Color is great and quality is good. Highly recommend!

I love this table!I am so happy with this table! I have it in my living room, and I get compliments on it from everybody that visits. It's very stylish and unique. It's a quality table. It's heavy and sturdy, and doesn't even wobble when my fat cat jumps on it. The wood top is a nice warm color, with nice wood grain. And I like how the height can be adjusted. I just love this table! And it was a good price. All of my favorite items in my home are from Ballard Designs. They have great stuff!

Cool looking adjustable versatile heavy table - worth the price & wait. .I waited about 3 months for the table but it was worth the wait for me. I couldn't find another table I liked better during that whole time. I saw another reviewer mention the leg brackets and yes, they are not a perfect snug fit but by tightening the bolts and the balancers on the bottom of the legs I found the table to be sturdy and not wobbly at all. I rather liked how it doesn't look so perfect, adds to it's character without sacrificing performance. It definitely is a heavy table which I like with a energetic boy in the house. I don't think even an adult could knock it over. The packaging was great, best packaging of a product I ever received. It arrived all in one box. I think it took as long to unpack as it did to assemble. Super easy assembly too. The wood color is beautiful and the satin finish is so soft. It is made in India. I have it set at the lowest setting between our 2 leather large chairs in our living room. At the lowest setting it's height is 25 3/4 inches. At the tallest setting it's a height of 32 inches. It's definitely a piece that will last through the years with it's quality, style and versatility.

Great table!We were having a hard time finding an accent table that was a good height, and we were attracted to this one because it was attractive AND adjustable. It's a beautiful table, great quality, and fits our space perfectly (it's between two chairs). I have two young children, and I have no fears about them knocking it over because it's very heavy and sturdy. I would definitely recommend this table!

Outstanding TableThis is a beautiful and stylish table! I received it today and could barely push it inside from the porch. It is not a flimsy table! My husband easily put it together in about 20 minutes and was quite impressed with the quality and design. So much nicer than I thought it could be. I had a 20 percent discount but it is well worth the full price.

Looks great/disappointed in paint qualityThis table looks great in our family room, however I am disappointed in the quality. There were stickers on each leg that were meant to help with putting it together, however, the stickers peal the paint off when removed. Also, the paint chips off very easily. I know this is supposed to have a rustic retro look, however, I don't think the paint should peal/flake so easily.

Attractive and functionalThe table requires assembly. The leveling screws are a challenge and don't function as properly as hoped. I will end up just using the old matchbook trick to get it to sit still on the floor. On the other hand, the table is substantial and heavy. It is not one of those flimsy drink tables. It is quite handsome and just large enough to sit beside a big leather chair without being obtrusive. It serves the function of holding a small lamp, a book, and a drink.

A Good ValueThis is the 2nd Allen side table I've purchased. The first was for myself several years ago. The top was in excellent condition with only minor paint flaking on the legs. The paint flaws were not noticeable and the table has worked well in several rooms. Note, the table is heavy and easier to move with 2 people. The flexibility in changing the table height has come in handy. The second table was purchased for my son's first home. His decor is industrial modern and this table was my first thought for his living room. Since he hasn't selected his sofa as yet, the adjustable height will be an advantage. This table arrived with an apparent scratch approximately 2 inches that was repaired with stain. It was observed by my eagle eyes, not by my son. Given he didn't really care, we didn't bother with an exchange. Both tables were purchased on sale which for me makes this an excellent value.

Like my table- wish the paint was better qualityI like my table very much, but wish the paint quality was better. It is supposed to look antique/rustic, I know, but when you put stickers on it that take all the paint off, that is not good. Also, a lot of paint chipped off during construction that probably should not have. Paint is VERY sensitive. You just have to touch it and it flakes off.

Solid, great quality, however too tall?Very nice accent piece, looks and feels very nice quality. Assembly was pretty simple, apart from the sheer weight of the legs; also legs don’t fully clamp on tightly, however balances and gravity do the rest of the work to stop table from wobbling. At its lowest setting, the table is probably two inches high (we like low profile armchairs, so would never have anything this high sat next to it), so much so my husband wondered if it was more of a plant stand?? Not sure under what circumstances it would need to be higher or even at highest setting?? Ultimately I really like it, however I am very glad I paid sale price - would not be as happy compromising if full price

Allen Side TableThe table arrived as scheduled. Very heavy and easy to assemble. My only disappointment was the paint had pealed on several legs. I assume it may not have been properly dried before packaging. The legs are very heavy iron and finished in a black matte type paint. Since the spots were small and not very noticeable I purchased a small can of paint from ACE and touched it up. Only I know it is there. Otherwise, the table top is very nice quality especially for the price. Perfect adjustable table and somewhat unique.

Beautiful tableWe love this table and really wish we could keep it. It's beautiful, heavy and sturdy. But even though it has an adjustable height, it doesn't go quite low enough for our purposes. So we'll have to return it.

Sturdy!We were really impressed when we took this table out of the box to assemble it (super easy). It's study and heavy ... meaning we can put a lamp on it and someone doesn't have to worry about tipping it over when they put something else down.
Really happy with how rustic the top looks ... I wish the bottom was a bit more brushed / rustic but that's just me - hence the 4 /5 stars.

Love the style, not the assemblyThe table arrived as promised and was very well packaged. It was as described and in perfect condition. However, assembly went mostly well with the exception of one leg where the holes drilled were imperfectly aligned. I managed to shift leg parts around until I got a close to OK fit with minimal wiggle. One thing to note for future buyers is that the base of this table is extremely heavy and therefore challenging to handle.

Bad- paint chips off legs right out of the box, screws don't line up so hard to put together, the top won't stop turning as the screw to stop it from turning doesn't work, very heavy to move and handle while putting together.

Heavy, unsturdy, and messy to build!The table arrived without the assembly kit, and with scratches on the base and legs. When putting it together, the assembly kit was full of grease, and so was the center bar for height. By the time I was done, my hands looked like I had been working on a car! This table clearly had been returned. The four legs that connect to the center bar did not tighten well in all places, so the table wobbles and tightening the bolts does nothing. It is also extraordinarily heavy, so moving it is difficult. I no longer have the box to return and at this point can't be bothered, so I am keeping it, but I do not recommend to anyone.
