Ballard Designs Outlet in Roswell, GA. is now seeking an experienced, high energy, motivated, and team-oriented Receiving Lead. Ballard Designs is a dynamic, fast-growing marketer of globally inspired home furnishings and accessories.

The Receiving Lead supports the Receiving Manager, and has the general responsibility for assisting in the coordination and supervision of all warehouse activities on a daily basis. This position is also responsible for supervising the receiving and warehousing of Ballard product in a manner consistent with company service and cost recovery objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, and assist with data entry per established Receiving Policies & Procedures
• Is accountable for the quality of training, development and support of the receiving associates
• Ensure that Brand and Operating Standards meet or exceed expectations to support brand consistency
• Assist with receiving associate recruiting, interviewing and selection processes
• Assist with, and ensure high quality review, assessment, and feedback of all receiving associates
• Address, and assist the Receiving Manager with the documentation of unsatisfactory performance and policy violations through administration of disciplinary action and performance coaching and counseling
• Monitor, maintain and follow company policies; support district/regional expectations and systems
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple objectives simultaneously
• Maintain a safe, clean, neat and orderly work area
• Conduct daily operations in a manner that promotes safety of all associates
• Assure the integrity of the inventory, and assume responsibility of conducting cycle counts along with the bi-annual store physical inventory process
• Provide strong leadership to the team to execute all operational functions in the store in an effort to ensure customer satisfaction, maximum productivity and profitability, and execution with company procedures

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of management/supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
• Excellent communication, delegation, follow-up and analytical skills, including a strong working knowledge of Excel
• Ability to function independently or as a team and show judgment in managing a fast paced environment adapting to change with a sense of urgency
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with customers and store personnel; maneuver around sales floor, stockroom, and store office; lift and carry 50lbs
• Open availability, along with the flexibility to work nights, weekends, store openings, and store closings according to the needs of the business
