A beautiful rug at an unbelievable value
We are extremely pleased with this rug. The colors are exactly what we hoped they would be, and the other reviewer is correct that they best match the photo with the 3 rugs layered on top of each other. In the other photos the colors look much bolder than they appear in real life. The brown and blue base colors work beautifully with our walnut floors, and the lighter coffees, tans, and greens are perfect for lighter floors or for pulling other coordinating colors. The carpet is very comfortable underfoot (we bought the premium rug pad from Ballard) and doesn't seem to shed much aside from the initial vacuum. We looked at a LOT of rugs, and there weren't many in the 10'x14' size that we liked. This one is absolutely perfect and is also one of the least expensive ones we saw. Also, a quick comment about Ballard's service... in the process of moving we missed the delivery of this rug and it was returned to the shipper TWICE. Ballard was accommodating throughout the entire process and made sure we ended up receiving the product without having to pay for any additional shipping. Plus, the representatives are extremely nice on the phone on very helpful. I couldn't be more pleased with the entire purchase experience.

Perfect Blue!
I had looked for a rug for almost 9 months before I ran into the Satari. I was looking for a great blue- no too smoky gray-blue but also not too teal or turquoise blue. This rug was it! The main image with the three rugs layered onto each other is the best match to the actual color of the rug. The browns in the border are not too dark but rather a coffee and light tan combo, which was great for the look I wanted. There are also very subtle pops of yellow, greens and burgundy in the overall design that are perfect to pull from for accent colors. The quality is very high end, and it looks more beautiful in person. Although it did shed a bit when I first received it, it went away after a few vacuums. This rug is a fantastic addition to my living room. It is a statement piece, but it also doesn't look overbearing with additional colors and patterns.

The satari rug is true to its Ballard description.
Ordering a 3 x 5 of the carpet really helped in making our decision. That carpet is now in the foyer and the 8 x 10 is in the liviing room. The cocoa brown does not overpower the blue. The design in beautiful; traditional yet with a contemporary flair. With a jute pad, the rug has a very plush feel. We love the carpet.

Just perfect
I ordered the 6-foot round Satari rug in cocoa for my master bath. It is kind of an odd shaped room with a shower in one corner, bath in another and vanities on opposite sides. Anyway, a round rug like this one is perfect for unifying the room and setting the color scheme. I love the rug. It is plush, comfy on bare (even wet) feet and has beautiful muted colors. Definitely not cheap looking, and I don't believe I've noticed any shedding at all. Just the perfect rug for my needs but would also work great in any other room and in a different size/shape. BTW, the cocoa and blue versions seem to be the same other than the outer ring/band on the cocoa is blue and it's cocoa on the blue (think I have that correct). Mine is cocoa in the middle/blue on the outer ring. I thought it might be too neutral but that's not the case either. Has a nice subtle mix of colors without being garish.
