Great product, stylish and functional in one!
Great price especially since I even caught the sale Ballard was offering it at. It was backordered but it finally arrived and is big enough for at least 4 pairs of women's size 9 shoes. Very stylish and keeps my hardwood nice & dry!

Sturdy and large but not super decorative
The boot tray is very sturdy and able to hold dirt, water, etc. However the rubber did have some indentations in it and the tray was so large, it was better off hidden in the closet than on display like the metal one might be.

Just what I wanted
I was going to put this tray inside my entry way but because it is rubber - a very substantial rubber - it smells like a tire so it is outside for the time being until the new smell wears off. I like it. It is much sturdier than I thought it would be. We live in a wooded setting so my husband is always tracking in dirt mud etc and this gives him a perfect place to park his shoes/boots before entering the house and it keeps the porch looking tidy as well. Great product - I highly recommend it.

Very useful for things other than boots.
This is a fabulous solution for house plants on the floor - very practical, attractive & foolproof - no rust, no worries about water on the floor. Even my husband noticed them! I will buy more for the same purpose.

I love my rubber boot tray!
After looking around for a boot tray to use by my back door, I settled on the Ballard Designs rubber boot tray. The tray not only looks great, but it is also very functional and durable. I recommend this product.

Great mess keeper
I looked for a boot tray forever before I found his one. It is durable and perfect size for 3 pairs of large boots. Smells at first so air the rubber out. Keeps all of the dirt in the tray and then easy to clean!

It's Pretty and will hold a lot of shoes
I thought it was a firmer rubber that I could move around without removing the shoes but it's very flexible. It does look nice and will hold several pairs of shoes which I need with 3 kids.

Perfect for the backdoor entry!
This boot tray has been a great way to keep grass and wet shoes off the floor after coming in from the backyard. I'm thinking of getting one for the front entry way as well. Love it~~

Decorative enough to use inside
I have this tray by my front door to help organize our shoes. It's decorative enough that it looks great - not like it's supposed to be outside or hidden in a mud room.

Deformed edges
Nice design, and nice to have in our mudroom, but for what we paid, disappointing that an entire side of the tray bends and doesn't stand up straight.

Nice for the price.
I was so excited about this product. I was certain it would serve as a means of getting my husband and three daughters to neatly place shoes out of in front of the door. I have had the mat for about 18 months and noticed a cut along the outer most corner. It looks like someone cut it from the top down to the corner. I'm a little disappointed but after looking to reorder and reflecting on the cost, I guess I'll just chalk it up to alot of use. It does eliminate shoes everywhere.

floppy, hard to clean around, smelly
Biggest problem with this is that it's NOT rigid. It's very floppy and hard to clean around, and doesn't slide easily across the floor (to vacuum behind) the way my old boot tray did. Also, it smelled so strongly of petroleum that we had to leave it in the garage to air out for over a month before we could bring it indoors. It was a great price and looked good in the catalog so I ordered two, but now I wish I hadn't ordered any. Guess that's the risk of catalog purchases.

This rubber boot tray is the answer to my winter problems.
I purchased my rubber boot tray from Ballard because metal trays I have tried have rusted through after one season. We are a large family living in the Snow Belt of Central New York and we need a large boot tray that is indestructible. Your product fit the bill. I especially like being able to wash rock salt and debris out of the tray (something I couldn't do with a metal one) and I can fit at least three pair of boots in it. I hope to own this tray for a very long time.

This is an excellent product.
Where I live, it is a must to remove your shoes upon entering the house. Never had anywhere to put dirty boots until now. Keeps dirt, mud and water from getting on my floors and rugs. My only complaint is that it's not quite long enough for our family's feet!! It only holds about 4 pair of size 11 boots, so it could be just a little longer. However, I've considered purchasing another one to add to it. Great item though....would recommend for anyone living in the country.

This boot tray holds up to our mud room!
The rubber boot tray doesn't slide on the floor near as easily as a plastic tray, so it's not always moving around on you. It's big enough for the oversized mud boots we use in the winter and tough enough to stand up to the mud, dirt, manure and rocks that get tracked in. The rubber smell is not near as much as expected based on reviews I read before I purchased it, I wouldn't worry about that...it goes away quickly. I would definitely recommend this boot tray.

I Love My Boot Tray!
Who knew I would be so happy with a rubber boot tray!
The qualitity is wonderful as it is the perfect weight so it does not slide around the floor. The height and length allows for multiple pairs of boots / shoes and the depth insures that debris does not fall out onto floor. The design adds just the right amount of flare to display in your home if you are not blessed with a mud room. Thank you for providing such a wonderful product.

Fine for outside the back door
One long side of the boot tray was slightly folded in and would not straighten up. I had thought I might could keep in right inside the back door but with the leaning side and the thick rubber material from which it is made, I decided it is definitely an outside item that I keep underneath a bench to hold shoes too dirty to be worn into the house.

This boot tray is a great buy.
I had been looking at this boot tray for a while and when it was offered at a reduced price, I jumped on it. I had been looking for a boot tray at different stores for some time, however, this one beats them all. I like the large size because it can accommodate multiple shoes and boots. The French Axis rubber design has a ornate iron look. This boot tray not only looks stylish but looks like it will last forever. I am telling all my friends to order one.

Amazing!! Have shown all my friends!
These trays are perfect!! I would buy 5 more if I had the hallway space for them. We used to have metal ones that scratched the floor beneath them and hurt terrible if you accidentally stepped on the edge. These have sidewalls that are sturdy, but not rigid, and they never scratch.
The only thing Ballard should do differently is sell them in another pattern. I simpler pattern option would appeal to more people - and no I didn't buy leopard print! :)

excellent value Boot Tray
This is attractive boot tray that will not rust, is easy to clean, looks great in our entrance with the French design.
It is heavy rubber and will not break. Should stand up better than our old boot tray. It is a bit narrower than our old rusted boot tray. Our foot wear fits and actually we enjoy it taking up less space now that we are used to it.
We would recommend this product to others.
Salt and mud do not affect the tray - cleans off with hose.

Versatility
Although this is a ‘boot tray’, I needed something to display my 8 small Christmas Cacti within. It had to sit in a north-facing window in the living room. This tray works much better than a traditional zinc tray with seams. This will not leak on my antique narrow table that holds the cacti.
It did need ‘airing’ out in the garage because of the slight ‘tire’ smell; but, just a couple of days. I like items that can be repurposed. Since we own a Bengal teenage cat, the leopard print is perfect and matches the leopard print rug we bought for the room. Our living room features purchases (at one end) from our life in the South west. signed American Indian pottery, wood art pieces, natural elements of New and Old Mexico. The coffee table is a large, round, tribal ceremonial drum. The ‘boot tray’ fits right into the overall scheme of the room.

Met my expectations
We were looking for an attractive boot tray that had enough room for multiple pairs of shoes or boots. This completely fit the bill. We keep it in our mud room, but it looks nice enough that we've used it at our front door when we have company. It does have a slight rubber smell when it is first removed from the package, but it goes away after a day or two. This is an item that will be easily cleanable and that should last for years to come.

Buy one for every entrance
This boot tray is genious! Not bad looking & really does the job for which it's intended. It contains the muck & moisture & keeps the rest of the house clean, plus it teaches young children the proper place to put wet or muddy boots & shoes. It's just the right size - large enough for several pairs, but not so large that it is unwieldy when you want to rinse it in the utility sink. I put one at each entrance during the nasty weather.
