Perfect for kibble-flinging canines.
My two adorable dogs have a propensity to fling food while eating, and the array of kibble on the kitchen floor has been giving my significant other fits.
I looked online for a solution and did not see anything on the pet-oriented websites that could help remedy this solution.
Then I came across this product while at the Ballard Design store in Jacksonville-perfect!
It fits both food bowls and a water dish perfectly. Kibble flinging is contained and this has an easy cleanup with soap and water.
Absolutely fabulous and fashionable product!

How did I live without it.
This is a must have product for any environment, it helps to keep the floor dry in the wet days and the snowy winters. It also is a good way to keep those shoes nice and tidy at the front door, I am going to order one for my back door.

Works for me!
I ordered this product back in January and did not receive it until right before Mother's day. I gave this product as gifts to three others and myself. Popular product but finally happy to have it. When I got my product my 2 year old son helped me unwrap it. Kids love to play with stuff. Well he pretty much walked all over it, front, back, inside out and upside down, still in great condition. Does what it is suppose to do,(hold my shoes - from outdoor weather) plus more if your kids are like my little dinosaur. Fabulous product looks great, if black goes with your decor, I think they have it in brown now too.

This product stinks - literally!
I have a BD metal boot tray purchased 4 years ago which has started to rust. I decided to buy a non-metal tray and I liked the design of this one. I didn't give a thought to it being rubber rather than plastic.
I use the tray in the house and the smell of the rubber is unbearable. The tray is currently sitting outside in the hopes that the smell will dissipate. After a month there has not been much of a change.
Keeping a boot tray outdoors really would not work unless you have a fairly large, open air and covered area, which I don't. If you do have such an area then this tray would be an attractive solution.

Big excellent catch all boot tray !!!
This big wonderful boot tray is big enough to hold at least 4 pair sandy, wet or muddy shoes or boots. When my boot tray first arrived, I must admit I was just a wee bit disappointed-it did smell of rubber, when I first removed it from its' packaging. This smell was soon gone!
Then it was a little bit misshapened , but I soon realized this is because it is made of rubber and the shape acclimated to the warmth of my home and it is just fine now! I would be delighted to recommend this tray and I think you will be pleased if you bought one too!

Mudrooms deserve good stuff too!
Let's face it, an active lifestyle, especially one that allows kids to be kids and parents to be kids right along with them, requires utilitarian items such as these that are best suited out in the open rather than tucked away out of sight. It may as well be attractive and look as though you really shopped for it. Sure, you can pick one up at a local discount, hardware, or home improvement store, and it will serve its purpose, but it won't be as large, its drainage grooves won't be as tall, it won't be as attractive, and it won't be as durable. In our house, this boot tray easily accommodates four well-sized pairs of adult shoes/boots and as many as seven pairs of youth shoes; its drainage grooves are cut tall enough to keep the boots out of the drippage and dirt; it looks neat and substantial; and it holds up to daily, all-day use like none other I've had. Its straight-lined, rectangular shape allows it to line up neatly against a wall or side-by-side with another, making the mud room actually look tidy! Its weight and heavy-duty rubber keep it in place. Its flexible sides are the perfect height and stay standing yet allow for the occasional plopping of boots by a youngster or an in-a-hurry adult. It cleans up well also...looks good as new each time. Again, as long as you need an items such as this, you may as well invest a little extra money into it to get a lot of extra life and style out of it.

Strong, sturdy, does the job and looks good doing it.
While it's not as fancy as some high-end metal trays, it's a great example of a very utilitarian product made to look a step above the ordinary. This boot tray is made of thick, heavy, sturdy (but still flexible!) rubber. It collects our slushy, salty, and muddy boots and the proportions are deep enough for our biggest pairs. The decorated base (I went with leopard print) collects moisture and muck while the boots stay dry on top of the design, and I can easily hose it off or rinse it out in the utility sink as needed. I wish I had bought a second for our other entrance while they were on sale!

Cute! Heavy duty rubber, very large, super value!
Bought two for a beach house, perfect for collecting everyone's sandy shoes! Super cute design, and heavy duty rubber, good quality. Very large, will fit several pairs of shoes. Great product to protect our hardwood floors.
I looked around in all the stores I could find boot trays, and these are a better product and better price. Might buy another!!

Essential for protecting floors
Despite the fact that I have tile in my entryway, I seemed to fight a never ending battle of dirt, sand and salt puddles all winter. Not only does this tray corrral all the shoes and boots into a neat area, it also provides desperately needed floor protection from the sand and salt used throughout the winters here in the Midwest. The occasional wipedown is all that is needed to keep this tray clean, and it has made a huge difference in how tidy my entryway stays through the seasons.

Decent for the price
This tray was very affordable. I like the design in the bottom, it dresses it up a bit which is nice because it's at my entryway. Some of the edges are a little rough looking so the quality isn't as good as I had hoped(especially for Ballard) but since I didn't spend a ton its an acceptable trade off. You need to have a solid surface for it to sit on since the rubber is somewhat flexible, and it's a little smelly at first but the rubber smell goes away eventually.

LOVE IT!
I love this boot tray! It is a very solid product, not cheap or poorly made. The french axis design is molded right into the tray so it isn't something that is coming off or going to wear off. A few people had complained about the strong rubber smell, I could smell it when I first opened it, but it really wasn't anything too bad. Also, it was backordered when I ordered it and Ballard got it me much faster than I had expected. I am all around a happy customer! Don't go pay more somewhere else for a lesser quality product, you've found your boot tray right here!

This product has many, many uses.
I purchased two trays. One is used as a feeding/water station for Missy and Littleberry, my two dogs--there is ample room for bowls for all. The other I use for boots and gardening shoes. The trays are attractive, serviceable and easy to clean--vacuum and/or hose off. They would make excellent plant trays or could be used as a station for muddy gardening tools and in many other ways. I am extremely pleased with this product and recommend it highly.

Use it for house plants
I use it under house plants on a hardwood floor. It is lightweight and I can move the plants from room to room for the sunlight and I anticipate easy cleaning of the tray when it will need it. And it looks a lot better than those clear plastic saucers and it protects my floors better during watering. They tray does bend a little when you lift it, so you either have to drag it or be very, very careful when lifting it to move it with plants in it.

Understated, Elegant, and Functional
My husband always leaves his work boots by the front door when he comes home, which is nice of him not to track filth into the house, but quite unsightly for a guest to see first thing when they come over. So, when I saw this tray I knew it would be a perfect solution. It is the perfect size, quite pretty, and keeps all the dirt in. It can also be hosed off if it gets too messy. One thing I didn't expect was how flexible it is, but that does not seem to matter at all. Now his work boots and my pink rain boots can sit neatly side-by-side in organized bliss.

Perfect!!
I have never been disappointed in products from Ballard Designs. The Rubber Boot Tray is no exception. It is a substantial weight, good looking and does the job of keeping outdoor messes from being tracked indoors.
I have one just inside my back door and also in the garage at the entrance into the house. No excuse for bringing in messes. Everyone should have these Boot Trays. Even though I saw the measurements advertised, I was surprised at how substantially large they actually are. Truly one of the best things I have bought to make life easier.

I BOUGHT THIS BOOT TRAY TO USE UNDER MY DOGS WATER STAND BOWLS. nOT ONLY DOES IT DO THE TRICK BUT IT LOOKS GREAT TOO :) no more towels laying on the floor !

Perfect spot for your shoes!
I needed something to contain all my childrens' shoes that kicked off when they come in the door (and invariably spread dirt, snow, etc all over the floor) but didn't want it to be too obtrusive or look bad. I bought two of these, one for the front and one for the back door. They work perfectly. My 2 and 4 year old know just wear to put their shoes now and just last night my 4 year old scolded my husband for not putting his shoes on the mat where they are supposed to go! It also is a silent reminder to guests to take their shoes off when they come in without you actually having to say anything. The sizing is perfect as the one at my back door sits in a hallway and is narrow enough that it is not obtrusive but still holds alot of shoes! I am thrilled with these!

Beautiful & Practical!
Decided to be a no shoe home so bought 2 - for front & back doors. Love them! So stylish yet so practical! Perfect place for us & guests to stash our shoes. All the outside mess - grass, dirt, yucky - stays inside tray and off my new carpet! Easy to bring outdoors to dump out & rinse off with a hose! Will not live without these trays!!!

It was worth the wait.
This boot tray was on backorder for months, so I didn't receive it until late April when my boots were put away for the season. That being said, I'm now using it in my mud room to put gardening supplies on when I bring them in wet and dirty from outside. The quality of the tray is excellent with a high rim around the outside to contain water, salt, mud... The rubber (not plastic) that it's made from had a strong smell right out of the box, but it dissipated in a week or so. I anticipate this lasting for a long time.

Checks dirt at the enteryway!
I love the way it teaches my kids to take off their shoes and gives them a place to put them (before shoes were scattered between the door and their room!). My house has seen a dramatic decrease in the amount of cleaning since installing this wonderful piece in our house. The boot tray gets an A+ from our house!!

Great Looking, Very Functional
This product lives up to the description very well - it looks great and is quite sizable. The only negative is that dirt gets caught in the beautiful design. While I know it can be rinsed, that isn't particularly convenient to do! I saw the Ballard brass boot tray at a friend's house, and one thing I did appreciate about that was the smooth design which would be easy to wipe clean. All things considered, I am very satisfied with the appearance and functionality, and I believe this boot tray will be durable.

Love this product!
The style is perfect for my home. The scroll work on it is very nice. When I first opened the box, it did have a little smell, but I left it out overnight and it was gone the next day. You won't be disappointed with this item! It was just what I was looking for! Love it!!!!

Bodascious Boot Tray
I am quite pleased with this shoe catch-all. The Indian rubber is substantial (yes, like all natural rubber it needs to air out prior to installation) and the design is great. I paired it with a Liora Manne wrought iron pattern rug. My entry has a french feel to it now.

Outstanding product for messy boots/shoes!
I have finally found the boot/shoe tray of my dreams! Instead of the usual, breakable thin plastic tray sold in home improvement stores, this rubber tray is substantial without being heavy, and it is formed so the the tray does not bend or break. Terrific item!

I love organization....
We've just moved into our new home. Whenever our kids and grandkids came over to visit, they all take off their shoes, so we had a shoe mess by the front door. (This is a good problem to have). I purchased the boot tray mainly for wet snow boots, etc. I noticed a strong rubber smell the day it arrived and aired it out on the back porch for a couple of days...the smell was completely gone. I now have the boot tray by the front door, and it reminds the kids immediately to remove their tennis shoes.
