Don't order the 2x3 sized rug. BUY the biggest available and you'll have a 5star item.
Then you will be able to see and relate to the writing on the rug. Ballard simply cut up the 9x12 rug into 2x3 sizes and that's what is wrong with this rug. Words don't make sense since they are cut up into babbling letters.
Silly me. I thought the wording would just be made smaller to accommodate the words. Nope.

Looks really cool
Definetely a conversation piece. On a 'minus' side can be a bit slippery when walking on in shoes or slippers. Also, it takes a really long time - unusually long - for the 'new product' odor to go away. Will give it an additional week - if it still smells that bad, will have to talk to Customer Service.

Warm and fun
This rug is well made and adds a lot of charm to a room. The background turned out to be darker than it looks in the photos, but fortunately it still works where I have it. While I would prefer a slightly lighter background, I am glad I bought it. It's definitely warm and fun.

looks and feels good; great for sunroom/three-season room
watched this rug for months and finally decided to buy... color (brown) is as pictured (on my monitor), and the rug is much softer to the touch than most indoor/outdoor rugs. nice conversation piece/ focal point in our sunroom. goes well with brown wicker, and, so far, cleans nicely! ballard delivery service was quicker than expected, no problem with condition of the rug upon delivery. A very nice buying experience. Go for it - you will not be disappointed!

This rug completes my living room.
I just had hardwood floors put in my living room, and already had an eclectic French style there. The rug completes the look, is soft to walk on, and never
looks dirty. I love it.

Le Poeme Rug
This rug is beautiful, and I have bought two of them! The only problem with it is that it rides across my carpet ... and my niece's carpet (gift), so we constantly have to bend over and straighten it back to its original position. How can we remedy this???

Love this area rug!
I thought this area rug would be fun and add a touch of uniqueness to my apartment. I ordered the area rug and was informed that it was backordered but then I received it about a week later! I ordered it in the chocolate color and highly recommend it.

LePoeme Rug
I purchased several different sizes of the LePoeme rug and am pleased with them. They provide the look I was hhoping for. The only challenge in cleaning the rugs is getting the cat hair off of them without using the beater on the vaccum.

Beautiful
The rug is suprisingly soft for an indoor/outdoor rug and the colors are really beautiful. As a previous reviewer said, the smaller sizes do cut off the words but it really doesn't take away from the effect of the rug. Love it!

Love this rug!
I purchased 3 of these rugs to put near entrances, and 1 in my black and white kitchen. It is the perfect mix of contemporary/traditional..bold and strong. It has a very contemporary feel and is a great quality.

Walk-In Closet Now Complete
I bought this rug for my master walk-in closet floor which is wood. I am very happy with it and the softness underfoot is fabulous. Great texture and detail.

I got the aqua rug to put in my master bathroom and it is perfect. The aqua is not too bright, very subtle.

Beautiful colors and very chic!
I ordered the small rug for under a coffee table and the large (6X9) size for under my dining table. I LOVE both rugs. The pile is plush, I haven't had any problem with piling, and the colors are very vibrant. It gives both rooms a very cosmopolitan feel, but also very cozy and kind of french chic. I am very pleased with the rugs and would definitely recommend them to others.

Great rug, doesn't look like much like the catalogue
This rug is of great quality and really nice to walk on. I purchased the spa color and it really is a much more muted blue than the photo, which works okay in the room so I kept it. I also would note that the background is not solid - it's several colors of khaki. Overall, great rug, it just doesn't look exactly like I thought it wood.

Very Shabby Chic
I love this rug. It looks and feels very "shabby chic". Everyone always asks me what it says and I tell them its a french fable. So far no spills, so I really can't describe how durable it is but I anticipate I should have no trouble picking up or wiping up spills. It is quite expensive though! I will be buying from Ballards again.

Lovely, whimsical rug.
I purchased this rug for our cottage and was so pleased with it I ordered a second. I purchased the small rug with black lettering. The rug is of good quality, lays flat and is very whimsical. I especially like the idea that the poem relates to a well loved fable. It has received many compliments.

These rugs look great in my master bath.
I ordered these rugs for my bathroom since my new wallpaper has all words written on it pertaining to bathing and grooming. They look GREAT!The runner is used in front of the double sinks and fits perfectly, and the smallest one, in front of the tub.

Poor quality
I purchased this rug in the 3x5 size 1 year ago for our entryway. I am sad to say we are throwing it in the garbage at this point. Only purchase this rug if you do not plan to walk on it. Such a shame because the design is very cute.

I ordered these rugs in black. Like them because they are unusual and have seen none like them anywhere else. I am considering ordering more of them in larger size!!! I also like the poem!!

I Love it
I love it, I had thought of buying it for awhile, and don't know why it took me so long. I just love it. It looks so good in my foyer and is softer than I was expecting. Very happy with it.

This rug completes my room
I love the way my new Le Poeme rug completes my room. I have a red sofa and a black and white chair in my sunroom and this rug pulled everything together. It is a great rug, I love it!

Don't Go There....
This is a gorgeous rug, but after two weeks on the floor, it started fraying and getting loose threads. Absolutely not worth the price unless you aren't going to walk on it.

Correction
I love the two rugs we purchased. The description is in error, small point. The poem is about an Ant an a Grasshopper, not a Cricket. Writers should research details because it does allow the owner to attach a story to the item.

The rug is very soft.
I was pleasantly surprised how soft this rug is for an indoor/outdoor carpet. It is a beautiful addition to our beachy home! Be sure to read the care sheet regarding cutting the little fibers that come up now and then.

Casual but refined.
Although these rugs are a bit "risky", I like them in my room and am changing other parts of the room slightly. I'm not afraid to mix patterns and designs.
