LOVE!!
I ordered the Highgate Oversized & the regular size because I could not make my mind up. I have looked everywhere for the perfect door mat (for months). I am SO HAPPY with them, one is out front & other by my back door. I love country. I was so afraid this would be to dressy. But I have wrougt iron furnitue in the front & It looks perfect. This mat can go with any decor. Now I am looking in to purchasing 2 large urns for the sides. Great Find! Thanks Ballards!!

Classy front door entrance 'look'
I had read about this door mat in a magazine. There is nothing like it in the stores. We live in the country and have outside dogs that love to lie on the door mats ... and they usually got the former mats all clogged up with hair. This mat does not collect the debris/dog hair on top which makes it easy to pick up to sweep away what would otherwise be tracked into the house. The mat also lends a classy look to the house entrance.

Perfect!
This doormat probably doesn't even need another excellent review, but I will leave one anyway:) Love the size! The oversized mat really makes a statement at our front door. I also ordered the rubber stepping stones to coordinate and they look great together. Very happy with my purchase. If you are on the fence about this-just buy it- you won't find another of this quality at this price!

Doormat
I put this in my mudroom--great place to designate where to put shoes, for kids! Also, never looks dirty--only thing some people may not like is that there is a strong rubber smell for a few weeks, but that eventually goes away--didn't bother me, but I noticed it. One nice thing is that it is heavy and does not move easily when kids put their shoes on it. For a rubber mat, it looks very classy and high end.

Heavy Duty Doormat
very few things are made solidly today so when I find one that is, I like to give credit where due. This doormat, which I use outside at the back entry of my house, is large and heavy and will serve it's purpose for stamping off snow, dirt, etc from your shoes before entering the house. It's also quite good looking and I have the matching smaller version in front of my garage door entry. Good stuff.

I bought the stair treads last year and they stay on my slippery deck stairs even in our harsh winter. That is why I got the mat. Love your products.
We have no maintenance decking which becomes very slippery at times. Last year I purchased the stair treads which were a great improvement. They stay put even in the harsh winter weather. we had an area between stairs and door which was uncovered and slippery so I ordered oversized mat which works great and provides a safe surface. Also looks great!

I love these mats!
I purchased 3 of these for my outer doors and they are nice and heavy and do not move at all in the many wind storms that I live through. I was always having to look for my mats after a storm and these just stay put. Also the depth of the design allows for easy scraping of the bottom of your shoes! THANK YOU for offering these.

A great entrance
This is my 4th doormat I have bought from Ballard Designs. First we bought the demuire (half-circle) doormat for every door that lead outside. as a military family, we moved, and the movers lost all 4 of them:(
Those 3 were in fabulous shape, but now we are shopping for new sizes. I love them!!

Repurposed door mats
I originally purchased the mats to spray paint and hang on the wall. However, I got overzealous and ordered these mats that turned out to be heavier than I could hang so they are now used for their original purpose...in front of the front and back doors to my home- couldn't be lovlier!

perfect size, perfect pattern
After looking at several stores in my area, I should have known to just go to your catalog. Everything I have ever ordered has been perfection. We will be moving to our horse ranch soon, and I am excited to gut and re-do that home with beautiful items from Ballards as well.

Color not true to picture
I was extremely disappointed that the actual color was so much different than the picture in the catalog. One reviewer said the color was fine so I thought I would like it. Also so unhappy that return shipping charges are levied on a product that is not true to the catalog.

Nicely designed mat, a strong odor of petroleum product
I was happy to find a mat that had the dimensions I needed and had a nice design to it. The mat seems sturdy and looks like it will hold up (only time will tell) and it's a far better choice than coir, which can be a shedding mess and a moldy nightmare if it gets wet. So far, the only thing I don't like about the mat is the very strong petroleum odor about it. I nearly passed out from the smell when I opened the box inside the house when it arrived. It smells like the inside of a mechanic's garage -- that unmistakable stench of grease and oil you can't seem to get out of your nose.
The odor is finally starting to wane a bit after sitting outside for quite a while now, but at first, I avoided opening the front door because the smell was overpowering and filling the foyer. It's a nice mat and I would recommend it, with the caveat that it needs to be allowed to air out somewhere for a few weeks before using it. Otherwise your guests will pass out while they're standing on it waiting for you to open the front door!

Great looks and function.
I had purchased this mat for the front door several months ago and was greatly impressed. I was happy to purchase this second one for the patio door. It has a wonderful appearance and is very durable. We are in a sandy environment and use it to brush off the sand.

Quality, great looking doormat
I am very pleased with this doormat. I was intending to buy a similar one at another store, but it was a little smaller, so I decided to go with Ballard's rug instead, and I am happy that I did. It looks great and works well at my back door.

This product minimizes the amount of dirt entering my household.
I enjoy my Highgate doormat-oversized. I use it inside my kitchen doorway so I placed a runner with a rubber backing underneath it. Its working well and I just enjoy looking at the beautiful scroll detail.

It is heavy so it stays in place. The corners lay flat and I like the look of it. Here and there if you look closely you'll see some trimming was skipped but if it really bothered me I could use a razor blade and fix it.

Great doormat
Well sized for a front door; particularly like the open style for drainage. Our coir door mat grew mold, that won't
happen with this mat!
Style is basic but attractive and price was better than other places I looked.

Love it - bought another for backdoor
I love these mats. I have the oversized one at the front door, and the regular sized one at the back door. They look gorgeous and they also work well to keep the dirt from shoes off my new hardwood floors.

This product is durable and attractive
This door mat is just what my front entrance way needed since the rain and dirt collected and mold would grow under an ordinary mat. The cut out design is attractive and stays put and remains dry.

This is the perfect mat for a large entry.
I ordered this mat and the matching demi mat for my large front porch entry. Lovely! The material is durable and very attractive. You can easily sweep it or hose it down for a quick cleaning.

Looks Great
I love my new doormat with the look of wrought iron. My 'yard' is gravel, so the open design catches the little rocks and dirt that get tracked in the house. And, it looks great!
