Perfect
This is exactly what I was looking for. Heavy and thick. It does not shift at the front door and the price was great.

Good looking but won't wear well.
Love the harlequin design but the mat is very thick requiring that you step UP onto the mat before entering the house. The material of the mat shreds easily and somewhat tracks into the house and slightly obscures
the colors of the design.

good looking design but way too high for my doors.
I expecially liked the long length of the coir mat but found out that it was way too thick. We keep tripping on the short one outside (we bought a long and a short) and the one we wanted inside will not let the door open or close. Better for someone's house with a high stoop. The green color was not as bright as described! It was pretty much a waste of money for us. Sorry.

The best found anywhere!
We needed a new mat for our front door. We looked everywhere locally and could not find what we were looking for...the products were too small, too thin, poor designs, just too cheap looking. Then we received our Ballard catalogue in the mail...and, there it was...the perfect design, the perfect size, and VERY reasonably priced. The best part was when we received our door mat...we could not believe how thick it was! Would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a new door mat. And, rest assured, from now on, we will look first at our Ballard catalogue for anything we might need for our home!

Wears horribly
After just two weeks at our side entry (very little coming and going; covered entry), the rug looks worn and old. We are very disappointed.

Cute but not perfect
I like the style of this mat very much, it really adds flair to my entrance. I got size Medium. Love the width (48"). But it would be better if it the front to back was deeper, as 16" is just enough to fit feet onto with it up against the threshold. Especially since the mat is tall it makes it tough for older people like my parents, who kind of tripped over it. Also, the color is rubbing off a little faster than I'd hoped. I've only had for about a month and already see some wear.

Could not use as planned.
Nice design and as pictured, but mat is so thick the storm door scraps the top of the mat. I cannot use at the door
where I needed it. The mat is about 3 inches thick!

Classy entry look
I have double front doors so I ordered two of the large size in black and they cover the entry doors perfectly. (Measure your door first). What a classy look! The only thing I have noticed after several days is that the mats seem to be "shedding". There are straw hairs everywhere. I am hoping this is a temporary thing and that they are just settling. The look is compromised by the errant straw hairs.

Good looking mat
I am happy with the quality; this is a good looking doormat. Sheds some but not excessively in the first month of use. A good product for the price.

Lovely doormat
I love this lovely coir doormat. It gives a classic and welcoming appearance to my front porch and goes beautifully with my green front door. All in all, this really freshened up my entry. I have received compliments on this mat.

Love them! 3rd time I've bought them!!!
This is the 3rd time I have bought these French Court Coir mats. I buy them 2 at a time for my 2 back doors leading to the back porch. I replace mine every two years but I always seem to go back to the same design. They would last longer if there was some protection over them but I leave them out all year long exposed to the elements and though they still are nice and thick after 2 years the paint eventually blurs and I like for mine to look crisp and new. Absolutely love them!

the black faded off of the mat in a couple of days.
I haven't even had the product for a month and the color has faded, it now looks old. The quality of the mat seems fine, but the color is now ugly.

Looks cute online, but a huge disappointment
I purchased the small and medium size, the small one doesn't shed as much as the medium but it still is a pain. the medium size one has been a nightmare and so unattractive since I took it out of the package. It just keeps on shedding; I've tried to sweep it, shake it, and vacuum it. NOTHING WORKS! They said to keep it in a covered area, and I did not but weirdly enough it looked better off it got rained on. Either way, save your money and don't buy this.

I absolutely love it.
I absolutely love this mat and the classy touch it puts to my back door entrance. However, I am on my third one. They do not wear as well as I would hope, especially if gotten wet. Yet the price is reasonable enough to justify frequent replacements which I will continue to do.

Excellent Quality
I can't tell you how impressed I am with the two mats I bought. Glad I got the larger size, they just look fabulous! They are also like nothing you see in any store around. Very good looking and excellent quality.

Beautiful mat- did not last a year
I am replacing my mat after a year. Absolutely loved the design, but it shed a lot and is very shabby looking now. I do like the design and as there is 20% off right now, I have decided to reorder another mat for the holidays.

Love the green color with lavender points
I have been wanting to purchase the coir mats for a long time..so last month I bought 3 for all my doors! I am very pleased with the green color with a pop of lavender at the points. A friend of mine has the black mat and it looks great as well.

Stylish but more of a mess than help
I looked at this mat for a long time as it was just the right style and size for my covered patio. So even though some complained of its shedding, I made the purchase. However, even living in a city where there is hardly any bad weather to speak of, and being a woman with one small dog (so this hardly got abused), this mat was worse than nothing.
It started looking bad right away. And worse, it shed so many coir "threads" that I actually stepped over it to get into house as I didn't want to track in the mess! I tossed it after just a couple of months. Such a shame, because it looked great the first day...

Cool Coir Mat
Love my new black and white harlequin motif coir mat. We ordered the large size. It is at my front door in our vacation home and just sets the tone for the vibe I'm going for in our house.
