Love it - great price, too!
I have looked at the French Bistro Comfort Mat for a long time because I just loved the design. It was a perfect fit for my kitchen. Then, when Ballard dropped the price recently, I didn't wait to order. Besides it's looks, it really is a 'comfort' mat! Although animal hair seems to show more than I'd like, it does clean really easily with damp cloth or vacuum. Love it!

Lovely at a price
I love the look of it. The chalkboard theme goes well with my black appliances and chairs. The quality seems pretty average -- if I had seen and touched it in a store I probably would not have been willing to spend as much for it as I did. The quality is ok, but not remarkable. For the price I expected remarkable. That said, I'm not returning it because it is so pretty.

So very comfortable!
I've finally found the most perfect comfort mats for my kitchen. I stand on the smaller one at my kitchen sink and the longer one in front of the cooktop at my kitchen island. I spend a lot of time standing in my kitchen and now, my feet are so happy. They are easy to clean and and another big plus is that these bistro mats look so good in my black and white kitchen!

Love it ! Adds some "flavor" to my kitchen!
I love it! I've wanted/needed a comfort mat at my kitchen sink and was close to buying a "standard" one - just a plain one in a solid color. The design on the Ballard mat is the best feature. It's like having art on the floor that truly serves a purpose. The shape and design fits my kitchen perfectly. I'm glad I waited for this one. The price was comparable too!

A little disappointed
I thought this mat was so cute, but the mat isn't a solid black like I thought - it had patches of gray throughout, which I'm not crazy about.

Love these mats!
I have been wanting these mats for a while now, and when they went on sale I grabbed them, and so glad I did! What little smell there was from them quickly dissipated. And as far as the so called "gray spots" some reviewers where concerned about, that's how they are suppose to look, like a chalkboard that has been wiped a few times. They are just as pictured.

Great product, caution pet owners
I purchased a holiday mat and loved it so much I had to have one for everyday. The mat is very comfortable to stand on & I love the design. The problem is it seems to be a big magnet for pet hair. I have to vacuum it every day. With two Golden Retrievers & a cat all hanging out in the kitchen with me, I am probably experiencing this more than most households.

Happy with my purchase
We have always loved the spongy mats in the kitchen especially in front of the kitchen sink and stove...so much easier on our backs because of our tile floor. The mats out there in Home Stores are so predictable and boring. This one adds so much personality to the kitchen! I got the semi circular ones for the sink and the extra long one for in front of stove.

The French Bistro mat is "magnifique"
I love this mat! I got the small rectangle one which is a perfect size for a double sink - not too wide. It is also comfortable to stand on -gives enough cushion. You can use a vacuum or wash it easily, or throw in the washer. It has not faded. With my "le cafe" theme/look in the kitchen that has black & white accessories, this is the perfect floor mat!

Love it!
I was concerned after reading about so many complaints about the smell. However when it arrived I just laid it in another room for a few days to air out before putting it in the kitchen. My husband the engineer said, "Of course anything made of rubber will have a stong smell." The smell went away after a few days and we have been enjoying it ever since!

Fabulous French Bistro Comfort Mat
This darling Kitchen Mat is perfect for what I wanted it for, under my sink. The "smell" everyone speaks of disappeared within a week or so. It is the exact blackboard design and adorable. Easy to wipe clean. It is fabulous for my aching feet and looks great in my kitchen.
I want to purchase another one for under my stove. Love it! Ballard is wonderful!

French Bistro Comfort Mat
I received this about a month ago and had been looking for a new idea for kitchen decorations. It has set me off in a direction I didn't expect, "Why not decorate the kitchen in a French cafe theme". I'm having a really good time with this. The mat is very comfortable as well as looking really "french" and I love the fact that it is made in the USA.

Very comfortable!
I am a personal chef who works from home & needed something to help relieve back & knee pain from standing for long periods of time. This mat does the trick! It's very comfy and looks great in my kitchen. I've been getting lots of compliments on it. I was worried that it would not show up against my black tiled kitchen, but it stands out just fine.

Cute and comfy!
I bought this mat as a gift for my daughter. I haven't given it to her yet, but I did open it to inspect. I put it on my kitchen floor to test it, and now I want to keep it! Other reviews said it had a strong odor but I didn't notice much. I actually like the "smoky" look of slight black and white color blends on the mat - it makes it interesting.

Just what I expected
I was somewhat hesitant after reading some of the reviews, however, the rubber smell went away after a day or two and the black coloring makes it look like a chalkboard. I've only had it less than a month now so I haven't tried to wash it, but I hope it stands up. Overall, it's exactly what I had expected and I am happy with my purchase.

practical and stylish
I had to put it in the sun for 2 weeks to get the stink out of it when it arrived. It smelled like new tires.
But now that it is in use it is wonderful. It doesn't slide. We don't trip on it. It hides some worn tiles in the kitchen and looks great. And, it feels wonderful under your feet. It doesn't show dirt and also cleans up easily.

This product is a must-have!
The French Bistro Comfort Mat more than met my expectations. Not only does it give me a cushiony, supportive foundation, but it also looks great and is easy to clean. I spend lots of time in my kitchen and really needed a good mat to relieve my tired legs and feet. This mat does the job. Plus, who doesn't want to be in a French Bistro?

This comfort mat did not look anything like the photo!!
Really bummed about the quality of this mat....it was not very comfortable..It also did not look anything like the photo in the magazine. I feel a little tricked. The photo was made to look much better than the actual mat. I can see why they were on sale but the sale price was not even worth the price for the mat. Really disappointed!!

This Mat is comfortable
I find this mat not only a very nice design for the kitchen, but a mat that is very comfortable to stand on for many things in front of my sink. I find I can stand on it for a longer period of time without my feet getting tired. It also is very easy to clean both with a mop and also in the washing machine. It is a fun, comfortable mat.

everything I expected
Great mat; well made, great appearance/finish, unique design/theme is perfect for my kitchen, and very comfortable. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the strong rubber smell......I washed it and that helped but, it still smells like a new set of tires. I've had it for about a month now and the smell seems to be fading.

Beautiful Kitchn Rug
I bought this months ago when it first came out and I loved it since. It's still on my kitchen floor, really easy to clean. And I've been asked about it many times by friends and family. Really, really nice thick rug. I bought one from another high end company and it wasn't even as thick. This feels pretty good on the feet. Worth it!

Comfort rug is exactly as presented
The Bistro Comfort Mat arrived exactly as pictured. It is spongy and comfortable to stand on for long periods of time. It is a fun addition to our small kitchen especially with French menu items printed on it. My only criticism is that the rugs scoots too easily on our hardwood floor. I wish it had more suction to stay in place.

stylish AND comfortable
What a unique and stylish kitchen mat. The best compliment I received was from my stepson who said, "These are the coolest mats I've ever seen. It makes me WANT to do dishes!" LOL!!! Everyone's focus, when entering my kitchen, goes directly to the mats. ...and, YES, the are VERY comfortable beneath your feet. love, Love, LOVE.

fun and functional
I first bought the large size and used it in front of my new 48" wolfe stove. I loved it so much that I decided to go for the smaller one in front of the sink. After years of having woven rugs that slipped and stained these mats are perfect. I did not notice a smell as was mentioned from other and they are so easy to clean.

I like it!
I ordered the mat to use under my kitchen sink. It really fits the space well, is very comfortable to stand on, and very cute. It has a "dusty chalkboard" finish, which does mask most footprints, but I wish the surface finish was a little less "fuzzy" feeling, and easier to wipe clean. Overall, I am very happy with the mat.

Looks beautiful!
I needed something I could clean (because I am always dropping food while cooking.) & take the fatigue of cooking away. These mats achieved both, though they have a very heavy rubber smell for the first couple months that hits you the moment you would come in the front door. I get compliments on the design all the time. :)

Love the mat
timely delivery, love the product, functions well in our kitchen, very practical. We only had it for a month, so time will tell if it stands up to wear and tear, but right now, very satisfied. A bit pricey for the type of product (rubber mat), but unique design is worth it. Others out there on the market are very ugly....

Your French Bistro Comfort mat is the best . I love to entertain & have the family here.it is a welcome addition to my kitchen - even my little grand daughter makes a bee line for it when she enters the kitchen She likes to sit on it as it's so comfy!It also looks very chic & is such good quality .It's a great product.
