Love the tote--a bit disappointed with the personalizing
I ordered a number of these totes to give as bridesmaids gifts, and all of my girls absolutely loved them! The handles are very sturdy, and the bags are very high quality. I also ordered many different colors (black, brown, aqua, light blue, red, pumpkin, sand, green)--and all of the colors were really pretty.
The only thing that I was disappointed with was the personalization options. When I ordered the bags, I put all of my girls' names in all lowercase letters, but when I received the bags the first letter of all of them were capitalized. I called Ballard Customer Service about this, and the woman that I spoke to was VERY helpful. She explained that the personalization machines are programmed so that the first letter is always capitalized. She gave me a number of options for what I could do since I wasn't 100% pleased with my order, and I chose to keep the bags. Of course, my bridesmaids didn't know the difference, but I was slightly disappointed since they did not come exactly as I had envisioned them.
Despite the minor personalization issue--I was very happy with my decision to purchase the tote bags from Ballard!

Monogramed tote bag
I was excited at how quickly I received my order. Was, however, disappointed in the quality of the bag. The fabric of the bag seemed stiff like burlap and it didn't seem like it would hold up well. The monogram stitching looked very nice tho.

roomy
I love the bag. It is a more rugged canvas than I expected and I am happy about it. The leather handles are sturdy and stylish. I am using it as a work bag and it is roomy enough for a lunch bag , water bottle, wallet, day planner etc.

Versatile Tote Bag
I ordered the burlap medium tote bag with cream-color monogram. It is a smart looking, very versatile bag that I can use as a purse or in place of a brief case. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great Bags
I've purchased both the carry-all and large & small tote bags for myself and as gifts. I used the carry-all so much that I wore it out. Mind you...it took awhile to do. The bags are well made, carry alot, and I get compliments on them all the time. Each of them have been embroidered and turn a plain tote into a beautiful, personalized item.

Love this bag!
I ordered two of the medium sized monogrammed bags. They are great! The inside is coated so it is easily cleaned. It is a great casual bag!

Love them; great gifts
I used these bags as part of my gifts to my bridesmaids; I had them monogrammed and in my wedding colors. They were a hit. Perfect for a summer wedding. I have one for myself too -- lightweight, attractive, practical.

Perfect
It was just what I wanted and the size and weight. I am traveling to Paris and thought it was a great shopping bag to put in my suitcase -- loved that it was monogrammed as well -- makes it more special.

Stylish and Functional!
We purchased six Ballard Tote Bags last May for my daughter to give her bridal attendants. We had them monogramed with each girl's initials, chose the color that suited each and filled with "goodies". They were such a hit and each girl carried her personal belongings in their bags to the wedding. I loved them so much that I gave my sisters one each for Christmas! Hmmm....now I just need to order myself one! These totes make a great and affordable gift for everyone on your list!

Great Bag!
I purchased two of the medium size bags and had my dogs names embroidered on them. They are great for loading up doggy stuff when it's time to take them to the kennel. That way there's no confusion as to whose food and meds are in which bag. The bags look great and the embroidery is in large, easy-to-read, type.

Nice way to personalize gift
I purchased two of these bags as thank you gifts for the planners of my bridal shower. They loved them. The embroidery was very nice. The bag itself was a little cheap but for $20 it was what I had expected. They did send me the wrong bag with one of them but customer service was great and immediately ordered the correct one and could not have been nicer.

Perfect for book club meetings
I purchased one for each of our book club members. I choose each members favorite color and then put their name on it. Now we all have our bags for meeting night.
What happened to all the bright colors though? Now I see neutrals more in your selections.

The perfect gift!

A great bag!
This is my second bag to buy from Ballard & it's just as good as the first. I bought my first one (the large) a few years ago; this medium one was bought to use as a little overnight bag for our new baby & we're looking forward to using it once he gets here! The monogram looks great, as always & Ballard Designs has great customer service & shipping was very fast.

The tote is attactive and well made. Monogram well done.
I take this tote with me whenever I'm going somewhere I will have to wait for quite a while, i.e. doctors office. I can carry my water, book, a snack and all the other necessary things we all take with us. I got the Sand color with cream letters and the letters almost match the handles exactly - how nice. The medium size is just right for me, most totes were far too large. Glad I found this.

Wonderful summer bag
The medium sized bag is just the right size for shopping, going to the pool or simply carrying the usual stuff. It's light weight and comfortable. I do wish the interior had another zippered pocket for phones etc.

tote
I bought this as a gift for a co-worker and I was extremely pleased with the quality of the product. The color was very even and the name color was perfect. I purchased the medium tote and would definitely recommend this tote to anyone because it is very attractive and roomy enough for carry groceries, personal items, even for bringing work home. Best of all the person I gave it to uses it daily.

Perfection
Not only is this bag fucntional, but it is very charming as well. I bought two as gifts for my mother (green) and mother in law (pink). They adore them! I had them monogrammed and they looked beautiful. I also recently saw them written up in a People mag as a great gift. Great for the market, beach, airplane or a outing with the kids. We all adore them so and at the price who could pass them up!?

great gifts
I bought these in green with brown initials, natural with kelly green initals, and white with navy initials for my aunts, mom, and grandmother for Christmas presents. They were very well made, and everyone loved them. I didn't realize that the inside of the burlap is coated to protect it. It is a really neat feature. I used them as gift bags for a candle and cookbook. Perfect.

It is exactly what I wanted
I first heard about Ballard bags in a magazine. My boyfriend got it for me Christmas. I plan on using it when I go to Florida, I love the color, the material and especially the size. It's hard to set it aside for summer because I want to use it right now!
