Beautiful but must use tea lights
These are really lovely candle holders but I was disappointed to find that even though they are called "votives" the label on the bottom of each piece recommends the use of tea lights. Also, the glass bulges in the bottoms so that tea lights do not sit flat. But I love the look and have used them to decorate my holiday table and now have them scattered around my home.

Yep, the twisted wire is definitely battle ship grey
I am giving these votives a qualified recommendation. They are very pretty, and the variety of sizes is a nice touch. But, unfortunately, unlike most twisted wire/French wire products, this wire is grey (as was noted in prior reviews). They were too grey for me, so I just got out my trusty spray paint and turned them black. A bit of effort for something that cost $35. It actually took less time than getting all the warning stickers off the bottom of each votive. I am sure I will be very happy with these long-term.

love the french wire design
I too was surprised that the wire was grey, of course if I had looked closer I would have noticed.
I took a can of gloss black spray paint and 5 minutes later they were all black.

Beautiful details, however...
the second time I lit votives inside the frosted glass, one of them shattered from the heat. Very disappointing as it is impossible to replace without buying another complete set.

Love these!
These are exactly as pictured. Very cute & handmade looking.
I had them on the table at Christmas & received many compliments.
If you like rustic-shabby chic type things then these are for you!

Versatile and very pretty
I bought these because they looked so versatile and so they are. I keep them clustered together with battery op'd tea lights and unless you're standing over them they look like a real flame is going since the glass votive is frosted.
You could easily use the glass votive and the wire 'cup' separately as well.. pencils, paint brushes, tooth brushes... mixed up around a room or all together it doesnt matter - they just look nice and eclectic. FTW!

Great feminine and French look!
I've been admiring these for a couple years. Finally bought 1 set to check out then two more when they went on sale. The wire is grey as stated in other reviews but only close up. In the room, from even a short distance, the wire looks very dark. I was concerned about scratching the frosted glass insert while cleaning out the wax, so chose to use battery votives. Just love them.

Votives are elegant and whimsical all at the same time.
I purchased these votives for my daughters wedding in May. We have not yet used them but, have lit them and they are going to add so much character and ambiance to the tables. I love that they are all different and will not look so uniformed in height and design. Very happy with the quality, glad I purchased them.

Very warm charming glow!
I agree with all the previous reviews. These votive candleholders are adorable! I bought them to give as a gift and I am keeping one set. I placed them on my mantle which already had small christmas lights and even without candles in them the light glowed thru giving them a warm charming look. Good value!

Totally meet my expectations
The are very beautiful, they arrived on time and in excellent condition, The frosted glass gave a nice subtle glow. I would however spray paint them, as the other reviews suggest because I suspect most of us have more black and wrought iron accessories we want to have match a little more.

Nice but quality isn't amazing
These are nice enough, and the shapes are as advertised, but the construction quality in the website images looks better than they actually do in hand ... OK. Not terrible, not amazing. I'm going to keep them but, they'll go somewhere high, where people won't see them too closely.

Very cute! Exactly as pictured...no surprises! Not just for Christmas...I have them out now with gold votives in them and will do red for Christmas--or green! Pink for Easter--could go on....Love the way the light shines through the wire! Unique!

These votives look so pretty when lit.
Love these iron votives. They came packaged very well. I have them on top of my media cabinet & they look great. I wove a Christmas wreath of holly berries between them for the holidays. They looked really nice & then stunning when lit.

five votives
I was so disappointed that one of the holders came broken. I would have had to send the whole set back to get a replacement. Too much trouble and I would not have been able to have them in time to use beforee Christmas.

I wanted a little something as a thank you gift for a friend. They are so darling I was tempted to break up the set and keep a couple for myself! I'll just have to get my own set. I want her to have them all!

very pretty!
I love my Audrey votives. They look so delicate when lit with a tealight candle. The wire seemed a little gray-looking to me so I took out the glass part and spray painted the wire black. Like this better.

Votives?
These candle holders are very pretty, but they are big for votives. The two larger ones are like large tumblers. I haven't put candles in them yet, so we'll see how that looks.

the color of the wire is grey, not black
i ordered these votives. very pretty, but the wire-work is not black like it looks like in the picture. it's more of a grey color. a little disappointing.

Different, fun, & timeless! Love them.
What a fun new way to "shed light". Will work beautifully with any décor. Could also be used as little vases in a grouping or individually.
