2 out of three were outstanding
I purchased three of these runners for my house. We have a pool and I wanted to make sure there was a dry running area from the sliding glass too to the bathroom. Two of the three were in excellent condition...on of the bindings on one of the runners was fuzzy...like it had been pawed by a cat. Too much of a pain to send it back. The price was right...you couldn't get a runner for less money; the runners suit our needs.

worth every penny
I needed to have a staircase carpeted, while keeping the expense down and finding a durable material. This
product is amazing. With a staple gun, ruler and ambition
I finished the job in 2 days. It looks beautiful, unique and complements my decor. Two full lenth runners and one 2'7 x 5' did the trick! Ballard could photograph a staircase finished this way for their catalog.

great in every way
Love the rug - it is in my office along with antique maps on the walls. The rug allows my office chair to glide over it easily. a great choice, delivered on time..thanks

Perfect solution, great quality
I purchased 2 of these rugs to 'hip' up my tile floored bathroom. They have a warm sisal look without any polypropylene sheen. I am very happy with my purchase!

Casual Chic
I purchased two of these for my covered patio. Yes, the color is tan - darker than the picture - but it is a lovely neutral and looks great. I re-rolled the rugs the opposite direction and left them for a day, and they laid perfectly when placed on the patio. I think I could've just turned the edges under for a day and would have had the same result. Really...this rug is not as uncooperative as some of the reviews state! It is a good looking rug with an elegant casual attitude. I love mine!

Ugly; really ugly
I ordered what I thought to be brown script on a cream colored rug. The color shown here is not accurate; not by a long shot. It is more the color of dirty diapers. Not attractive. I should have never opened it as I could not get it back into the plastic wrap to return it. I have had it for over a week and it still hasn't straightened out. I had planned to use it near a couch in one of the rooms but now it will go outside on the porch and die a natural death over the summer months.

Lovely Rug - Function & Aesthetics
I ordered this based on the suggestion of a friend. She ordered several for her boat because of the outdoor use feature. I have a Chesapeake Bay Retriever who tends to deposit his hair/dirt on my carpets and always host friends/family who tend to be messy eaters. I bought this for my dining room with the hopes of having a durable rug that balanced classic colors with a unique design. It does vary slightly from the online image and is less tan-ivory in color, more of a khaki or tan-gray. I had seen this in reviews but preferred the darker color for my use, so it worked out fine. The text IS pixelated but the overall rug has a pixelated texture in both the weave and the design. I wasn't sure I would like it but I don't find it detracts from the appearance or quality. It has the durable appearance but still fits nicely in my dining room setting which carries a theme of antique wood and neutrals. I'm happy with it because it is bold in its own right with the informal design of text yet blends nicely with the room. Time will tell how it stands up to the dog and children but for the price, I'm happy with the quality. I also ordered the smallest size but haven't opened it yet to see the distribution of text. If you keep in mind the purpose of this rug being durable and functional for outdoor use and wear, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Definitely needs a nice rug pad to add that layer of comfort because it's thin (but what I expected for an outdoor rug) on my hardwoods. Loving this company!

Great Rug!
I ordered one of the largest size rugs and was so please when it arrived, I ordered another! Yes, both were a little wrinkled and needed to flatten out, but I put some large heavy items on the ends and they flattened out beautifully. The rugs are very nice, large and look great. I ordered the natural with brown print and the color was exactly as it looked in the pictures. It is an indoor/outdoor carpet so keep that in mind as it will not be as plush as indoor only rugs. Its more like a berber type. It was just what I was looking for. Thank you!

Great rug, but not in runner size...
I really like this rug and the design. It seems durable and is unique. However, I ordered the "runner" size and you definitely miss out on the total effect. Nothing against the rug, but I probably would have liked it better in the full size. Nice value though, and I always love everything I order from Ballard!

Looks wonderful in my breakfast room!
Works well under the breakfast table especially with our one year old and a four year old. Looks great with the vintage brass chandelier I already owned and some antique brown and white transfer plates hanging on the wall. Vacuums easily and washes up well ....no need to cry over the boy's spilled milk!

Great conversation piece
This is my third outdoor rug that I have bought from Ballards and none of them has ever been anywhere near the outdoors. I'm positively sold on these because they have great design and style and are just impossible to destroy. This one is in my kitchen and everyone always comments on it, and some try to read it! It's stylish and fun all at once. With two dogs they really take a beating but I just use a wet rag to wipe anything up, super easy to maintain. Can't beat it for the price. My favorite rug in the house!

Great Rug
I love my new rug!! It did take a day for the edges to lay flat... but the hair dryer idea helped. I'm thinking of getting a matching one for my kitchen. The colors are great!! Yes.. The writing is easier to see farther away but that doesn't matter to me.. i can't read it anyway..lol..

I love my rug!
I purchased this rug for my booth at a craft show and it was great. The wear from all of the people over three days was not noticeable, just dirt and that made the rug look fine. Washing it after was easy too. I will be using it on my patio when it is not at a show.

Pixelation but still a great buy
This rug looks great in our mud room. The beige is a little yellow but still looks great with our red walls. The only down side is that the lettering is block-ish or pixelated. From a few feet away you can't really tell though. Can't beat the price.

Durable and Decorative
I purcased two sizes of this style of rug - one for my kitchen and one for a side porch - both high traffic areas. The rugs add a very nice touch of style with the confindence that they are durable. I sweep daily and they clean up well.

Not as pictured
The rug I received is much darker than the rug pictured. The rug online looks creme, the rug I received is tan. The rug is tan and brown.
That is a sure way to make sure you don't have repeat customers; ship them products that look completely different than what they paid for.

Awesome rug
Love this rug. It's perfect in my home office. Everyone who comes in comments on it. Also Ballard customer service is awesome. The rug was backordered and they kept me up to date. It ended up arriving sooner than I expected.

Beautiful all year . . .
I am pleased with the rug - it's the perfect size, neutral, which I wanted, but still has some pizzaz. I love the design. I live in Phoenix, AZ, and have this rug outside on a covered patio, where it can stay year round.

Exactly as pictured in Catalog
This rug is for my kitchen, I love the fact that it is easy to clean, since this area is a high traffic zone. It was exactly what I pictured and it works perfect.
The quality is very nice. I would recommend to a friend.

Beautiful

Perfect rug for the kitchen!
We have this rug in our kitchen as a runner alongside our sink area and dishwasher ... it offers wonderful protection from spills and splashes. Plus, we love the way it looks!

I did not give the rug 5 stars because of the material it is made of or perhaps it is the added polypropylene which does not allow the ends to lay flat. Any suggestions?

Wrong Color
I wish I had listened to the reviews about the color being not as pictured, but I got greedy for the sales price and went ahead and bought a couple of the rugs in the natural w/ brown writing. Just like what all the other reviews said, the natural is a more tan/brown color, not taupe, as pictured. I'd send them back but it's not worth losing the shipping costs since I got them on sale. Hopefully I'll find somewhere for them, but they're definitely not going where I had intended.

Poor Website Depiction, Great Rug
The previous reviews are correct; the rug is more of tan color and not ivory/cream as depicted online. Another thing I found is that when you are on top of the rug, the antique lettering does not look like writing. You can only tell that it is writing when you are further away.
With that being said, I still love the rug. The color has grown on me and the lettering issue doesn't bother me. I would still recommend this product, just be aware of what you are really purchasing.
