Not as pictured
The rug I received is much darker than the rug pictured. The rug online looks creme, the rug I received is tan. The rug is tan and brown.
That is a sure way to make sure you don't have repeat customers; ship them products that look completely different than what they paid for.

Good quality
Perfect for the office. We have tommy Bahama furniture in the office and this rug was a great compliment to the decor.

Not as pictured
Glad I ordered the small size first to check it out before ordering the large one. It looks wonderful on the website; however, not up close and in person. It's more of a yellowish tan and impossible to read the writing (even in French!). The weave is very textured looking, unlike the picture. I am sending it back.

Love this Rug
I've been searching for a durable/neutral rug for a high traffic living room. I have 4 kids and a dog. This rug was everything I was looking for : Neutral, durable, and inexpensive, but a conversation piece and unique. I couldn't be more pleased with the texture. The quality and the fact that Ballard designs got the rug to me, even though they were back ordered until February. Just in time for Holiday parties : ) So excited. It looks great. I'm so pleased. We'll see how it holds up to my family, but right now it's the perfect addition to my living room.

Great decor on the floor!!
I love this rug. it adds just enough pizzazz without detracting from the furniture and other patio decor. Good quality rug for a nice price.

Great rug, but not in runner size...
I really like this rug and the design. It seems durable and is unique. However, I ordered the "runner" size and you definitely miss out on the total effect. Nothing against the rug, but I probably would have liked it better in the full size. Nice value though, and I always love everything I order from Ballard!

Design and Durable
I purchased a full sized rug and runner for my family room. I LOVE that it is stylish and durable. Not to long ago a full glass of red wine spilled on the rug - No worries- it cleaned up easily and there was not a trace of a stain- LOVE LOVE this rug

Don't waste your money on this!
From the picture, I expected this rug to have some interest and even charm. It is a good idea terribly executed. Too ugly to put anywhere!

I love my rug!
I purchased this rug for my booth at a craft show and it was great. The wear from all of the people over three days was not noticeable, just dirt and that made the rug look fine. Washing it after was easy too. I will be using it on my patio when it is not at a show.

I love how this has transformed my room
I was expecting to love this rug, but didn't expect the transformation of the entire ambiance of the room that came with it. I wish it would've arrived a little less wrinkled, getting it to flatten out has been a process, but not enough to keep me from ordering the matching runner for my hallway!

Really suits our needs
We use this rug in the family room. I bought it to lighten up the room for the warm weather and it is more than I expected. It makes a statement for the room and it is not scratchy or pinchy like many outdoor carpets, since my little grandsons are always playing on the floor. Low maintenance, good quality for a great price.

Perfect for my sunroom
Love this rug! The color, another reviewer called yellow, is maybe like "straw"-it isn't off white or ivory. It is just decorative enough without being "busy". Very nice rug-so glad I got this one.

Looks Cheap
If i hadn't bought this on-sale, I would return it. It's a light brown color w/ dark brown lettering. The stitching/fibers in the rug are quite large. I've had the rug for a week and it still hasn't flattened out yet. Also, it's very thin.

perfect rug BUT color is NOT WHITE
So far I like the rug alot EXCEPT the picture is very misleading...it is a golden rug - NOT WHITE. White would have been beautiful but the golden color still looks ok in our mud room. Nice lighter outdoor/indoor rug and has a strong "tough" feel to it.

Nice enough for indoors
I'm very happy with the rug. I needed something durable enough for my desk chair to roll on, but still elegant enough for my office. It's the perfect thing for what I needed.

Charming rug
Put the rug in guest room - low traffic and minimum care.
Still trying to figure out what it says - French dictionary in hand. Only problem is that it has creases from being rolled/folded which should go away in time.

This product was not the quality I anticipated.
It was rather lightweight and flimsy. It arrived rolled tightly and after 2-3 weeks the waves still have not totally relaxed.
However, the shipping was really prompt, and the order arrived before I expected it.

Poor Website Depiction, Great Rug
The previous reviews are correct; the rug is more of tan color and not ivory/cream as depicted online. Another thing I found is that when you are on top of the rug, the antique lettering does not look like writing. You can only tell that it is writing when you are further away.
With that being said, I still love the rug. The color has grown on me and the lettering issue doesn't bother me. I would still recommend this product, just be aware of what you are really purchasing.
