Color totally different than pictured
This is my first Ballard Design purchase and I'm pretty disappointed. The color is *completely* different than pictured. I thought it was going to be beige/cream and it's golden almost burlap color. I just got it today so as of right now I have to weight down all 4 sides otherwise it rolls back up all on it's own. I'm not sure if having the paper towel holder and books on all 4 sides was what I pictured for the look. Hopefully it will relax over night and stay flat!!

Not the same color as shown in magazine however, is very nice and durable. Worth the price.

Really suits our needs
We use this rug in the family room. I bought it to lighten up the room for the warm weather and it is more than I expected. It makes a statement for the room and it is not scratchy or pinchy like many outdoor carpets, since my little grandsons are always playing on the floor. Low maintenance, good quality for a great price.

Soft surface but seemingly durable.
I was pleasantly surprised by how soft the surface was. I chose the rug because I have multiple animals and was searching for a durable, easy-to-clean option for an enclosed porch where they spend a lot of time. So far it has proved easy to maintain - even the pet hair just rolls right off of it instead of embedding into the surface. I've had it down about a month and so far, so good! I'm getting ready to order another option for my living room.

Looks great
I read the reviews carefully and was just a little worried that the rug wouldn't be quite as described, especially since I purchased a smaller size. Price was right and I couldn't resist. Rug is exactly what I hoped. The colors are great and it looks perfect. Reviewers referred to the print appearing "pixelated". I can see what they mean but I actually prefer the pattern to be woven in rather than just stamped on. Definitely recommended.

Disappointed
I ordered this rug through the internet. After placing my order for the 5X8 and not receiving an order confirmation - I figured I did something wrong. I checked "My Account" order history and there was no indication of my order. So - I placed the order again. The next morning - I received 2 confirmations back to back. Wonderful. I received the rug(s) quickly (which was good)- one to be returned immediately however. The other I opened anxious to see it. I am disappointed in the quality of this rug. I understood that it is an indoor/outdoor rug, but compared to the rugs I have purchased at local stores - this rug is inferior. This rug was priced high I feel for what was delivered ..and sadly- it is not worth that in the sense of the look or quality. It is extremely thin also. I thought it had a fun, whimsical look- but would strongly suggest that you reconsider before purchasing. : (

Just what I was looking for!
I ordered this rug because of the look but was so impressed with the overall quality. I needed a rug to go at the side entrance of our home where there is a lot of traffic and this has been the perfect choice. I have a desk area set up there and it goes perfectly with the decor and is so easy to keep clean. I couldn't be more pleased. Thanks Ballard for the wonderful products I've received...

This product was not the quality I anticipated.
It was rather lightweight and flimsy. It arrived rolled tightly and after 2-3 weeks the waves still have not totally relaxed.
However, the shipping was really prompt, and the order arrived before I expected it.

Wanted to love it
I just got this rug and I am not sure if it will work. It is a little more like a 'golden wheat' color than a 'parchment'.
I purchased the 5x8 and it has the post marks on it. The design is the same as pictured. Because of the indoor/outdoor weave it looks better from a distance. Close up, it looks more like a mat, and discerning the writing as a letter is difficult. May return it.

Another fabulous rug
I won several of these outdoor rugs and LOVE THEM. they wear like iron and can be used in many areas in and out doors. this one, i must confess, will be in my laundry room and partially under my cat boxes, but they wear like iron and look so good. when i come in from outside, this rug greets me with class and understated class. i love them. i have a large one in my screen porch area and one on my large back porch as well in the kitchen and front porch. you just take them and hose them down when a stain hits or use a sponge or wipe to clean off spots. they are great underfoot too.
i live alone and they are lightweight and easy to move about which is a definite plus!
i can't say enough about these great rugs. if this one is not to your taste, get another pattern. you will definitely find a use. i have purchased others and they don't hold up and often mildew or turn green with too much water. these do not.

Nothing like what I was expecting...
I ordered two of these rugs for our foyer. They arrived very fast but when I opened them the image on the rugs didn't even come close to being the same as what is depicted on the site. And they way they are packaged makes it almost impossible to get them to lay flat. Very disappointing - but they did return them without charging me. Too bad because they would have been perfect.

Good looks, great value.
I absolutely love this rug -- it looks great, feels surprisingly good underfoot, and cleans up brilliantly (important to me, since I put it under my dining room table). Other reviews mentioned that it didn't lie flat, but I weighted the corners with my dining room chairs for a day or so and it was just fine after that. For the price, I don't think you could ask for more.

RUGS
I love this rug. I put it under my dining room table because it is an outdoor rug I figured it would clean easily and I was right. I've had it for a while and it still doesn't lie flat but it looks so good I don't care. The backround color is alittle darker tan than the picture online but not to dark. I would highly recommend this rug.

love this rug!
Bought this rug for our dinning room. Great if you have grandkids and dogs,no worries. The plus is the chairs slide in and out very easy. I ordered the choc with the natural lettering but it took three times to get the right one. So if you order from the catalog the color refers to the lettering NOT the rug background. I LOVE MY RUG!!

Great value
This indoor outdoor rug is a great addition to our family room. It is a lot softer than I expected which was a nice surprise for a family that is barefoot a lot and with a 9 mo old crawling. So far easy clean up for spills, animal fur and baby messes. Would buy again and looking for a similar design for the adjoining room.

Not as pictured
Glad I ordered the small size first to check it out before ordering the large one. It looks wonderful on the website; however, not up close and in person. It's more of a yellowish tan and impossible to read the writing (even in French!). The weave is very textured looking, unlike the picture. I am sending it back.

Product a disappointment
Not my first purchase from Ballard's, but by far this rug was a true disappointment. First the ends of the rug curl up regardless of rug pad and rug tape...I even placed weighs on the ends to flatten it out and to no avail it continues to curl. Secondly, the threads of the rug seems to be unraveling by the week.

Just like the picture!
The indoor/outdoor rugs are a perfect addition to my French decor kitchen. I bought two rugs, to use for 1) my cat dishes and 2) by the entrance to the French doors that lead to our garden.
The rugs look handsome; they are just like the picture and are easy to care for!

Loved the rug!!!!
This rug goes perfect in my living room with a French flare. I have gotten many compliments on the rug and I couldn't be more happy. I did what someone else had suggested and used a blow dryer to make it go flat. It took just a few minutes. I would absolutely recommend this product. It is very special rug.

I love how this has transformed my room
I was expecting to love this rug, but didn't expect the transformation of the entire ambiance of the room that came with it. I wish it would've arrived a little less wrinkled, getting it to flatten out has been a process, but not enough to keep me from ordering the matching runner for my hallway!

We love it!
This product is just as it appears in the photos...we had no problems with the corners curling after a day or two. So far seems to be holding up well to chairs being moved in and out, 2 dogs. Basically, we have lots of traffic in our kitchen! We love it and would encourage anyone to go for it!

Disappointed
The rug I received does not look like the one in the picture. It is darker in color and the lettering on it does not look like the picture at all.
The rug does seem very durable. I did have some trouble getting it to lay down. Finally had to put a small heater on it to get it to lay flat.

Good Looking Rug for Many Uses
We bought this rug for our kitchen and love it. It brightens up the area and is easy to clean if there are spills-food stains. We were going to replace the Sisal rug which we previously had in our kitchen but saw this online and decided to try something different. We are glad that we did.
