When shopping the antique stalls of Paris starts to feel like work, it's time to sit down. And that's exactly how we found the inspiration for our stylish Lawson Leather Armchair. We were taking a break when our six-foot tall president noticed how remarkably comfortable he felt sitting in what should have been a too-small leather armchair. And that gave us a big idea.

In the '20s, leather chairs in Europe were scaled down, so they would fit into lots of places, like boudoirs, smoking rooms and hotel lobbies. That also meant that they had to feel comfortable to everyone, from petite women to taller men. When designing our Lawson Leather Chair, we took that lesson in scale to heart. It's perfectly proportioned to fit almost any space while fitting you perfectly. And like the original, its kiln-dried hardwood frame is hand covered in butter-soft leather that just looks better with age.
