Our intrepid president was picking through the antique stalls of Paris with his family when he uncovered the pristine original of our Buchanan Tray Table. According to the dealer, a man
had bought the table for his wife as a wedding gift 50 years earlier and she had always hated
it. Fortunately for us, she sold it the moment he died. We loved the clever slide-out wings of the original version of our Buchanan Table, but didn't
like the fussy, inlaid finish. So we decided to do a Ballard version, retaining the versatility of
the antique, but in fresh, updated finishes. Much to the imagined widow's chagrin, you can
see just how successful we were at capturing the look and unique hinges of the Paris original.
